Location, location, location…that’s not just a real estate agent’s mantra, it’s expert rose gardener Peter Schneider’s advice for people who think they’re failures at growing beautiful roses. “Everyone really can grow roses,” says Schneider, but it all boils down to finding the types of roses that thrive in your garden, winter well and resist disease and pests with minimum, basic care. Schneider breaks it down into 349 perfect choices with class, bloom color and size, plant height, hardiness, a photo and his own personal commentary and advice. Right Rose, Right Place is a complete guide to planting, pruning and doing all the things that will keep your yard…well, coming up roses—and it’s funny, too! Color photos.

I have always wanted roses, but heard roses are very hard to grow. The author has been gardening roses for many years. He knows what does and does not work, the exact place for the different rose varieties, diseases that may attack roses and how to avoid them. Lots of pictures, lots of color.
