It's a little lack luster from her previous books. Pictures are nice, but nothing new in content or anything that sends me over the top.

I absolutely love all of the Mary Carol Garrity books, especially her first Christmas book. This one is not as full of unique and dazzling ideas as previous books. I love her style of layering accessories and using antique baubles in creative ways. This book just didn't reflect her usual flair.

Mary Carol's book has some beautiful picture's and decoration's. Just not enough. It leave's you wanting more, alot more. It does give you some good idea's and alot of her decoration's can be down sized if you need them to be.

Mary Carol has a wonderful way of taking old, new; expensive, not so expensive; evergreen branches and pine cones from the forest; and blends them all together into something magical. This new book has great ideas that anyone can translate into their own style. I would suggest this book to everyone. I have all of Mary Carol's other books, some even autographed by her. She is just wonderful. I've shopped at all of her stores and am lucky that her newest one is just a few minutes away from my home. I've toured her home several times and love seeing the beautiful pictures of it all decked out for Christmas.

Overall, this book has gorgeous pictures. There are some beautiful decorating ideas with trees and exteriors. My personal taste is somewhat different, as I like everything to sparkle like mad, and be somewhat on the elaborate, Victorian style. The style displayed in this book is more of a classic, traditional look. However, looking through this book does give you a sense of making Christmas beautiful in your home, with your touch. I like how she uses a lot of pinecones and evergreen, as sometimes nature provides the best ornaments. Just a little something here and there can add up to a lot in a room, and this book shows you ideas so you can incorporate a similiar look. Regardless of whether or not you like the decorating ideas, you can't help but feel the warmth in the decorated rooms, or how welcoming the approach is to the homes featured on pages showing the decorated exteriors. Although I got this book in late August, I can hardly wait til it's time to get my Christmas decorations out!
