I sent this book to my mother who was teaching herself quilting and she couldn't say enough about how much this book had helped her and answered so many questions for her. I then ordered myself one and I have to agree. This book is so informative and small enough to stick in my purse for reference in the sewing shop. It has easy following instructions and pictures for examples. Many, many items of all sorts of quilting problems, projects. I love it and I highly recommend this book for your quilting library. Great, great book for all the right reasons!

I loved the way this book is easy to read - color illustrations help to understand basic cutting better. I've been quilting but it's nice to have some things I've thought about but never asked answered. I've even flagged some items to refer back at some point of time. I recommend this book mostly to the new comers to the art of quilting. Enjoy!! I also like the pocket book size with a hard back.

This book is helpful for me as a beginning quilter. I found it easy to find the advice for specific questions I had. It has good diagrams to explain the steps in making a quilt. The book also provides several ways to do the steps.
Its small size makes it convenient to take along for quilting get togethers.

This is a nice little basic book. It answers lots of basic questions. I have had many like this before. Mostly or all black & while illustrations. Boring to me and I hardly did more than flip thru it a few times.
