Since ancient times pebble mosaics have adorned the grounds of castles, gardens and public squares. Now, you too can learn the art that is as beautiful today as it was back then. In Complete Pebble Mosaic Handbook, mosaic artist Maggy Howarth shows you how by working with nothing more complex than humble pebbles you can enliven your yard with winding paths and unique patios featuring celestial forms, geometrics, mythological figures, flora, fauna and other unique motifs. Howarth details all of the core techniques you’ll need to create these mosaics, then takes you on a world tour from the Imperial Palace in Beijing to the Greek Islands, to be inspired by some of the most breathtaking examples of the artform. Color photos.

I loved the first book and hoped to get some new ideas in the revised and expanded edition. It was almost the same page by page. If you have the first, don't get this one.

This is a great book even if you don't really mosaic with pebbles some of the ideas can be used for all types of mosaics not just pebbles.
